Teenager killed, woman under police guard following Central Coast car crash
A teenage boy has died and a woman is under police guard in hospital after a car crash on the Central Coast overnight.

A teenager has died and a woman is under police guard in hospital after the car they were travelling in ploughed into a tree on the Central Coast on Wednesday.
Paramedics were called to the site shortly before 1.30am following reports of a single vehicle crash.
Police were told a station wagon had left the roadway before it smashed into a tree.
A 17-year-old male passenger died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
Police said the 19-year-old female driver initially left the scene but was found by officers a short time later.
She was taken to Gosford Hospital where she is under police guard.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

The crash had closed part of the Pacific Highway at Charmhaven on Wednesday morning but the roadway reopened just after 9.30am.
