Teen injures foot while bushwalking at Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

A BUSHWALKER was winched to safety after he got his foot trapped under a rock while hiking at Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park today.

A BUSHWALKER was winched to safety after he got his foot trapped under a rock today.

The 19-year-old male was hiking at Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park when he became trapped when his foot got caught.

The teenager was able to call emergency services for help.

A helicopter was called in and paramedics were able to winch him out of the bushland after wrapping up his left leg with bandages.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known but he was taken to hospital for assessment and treatment.
