A UNIVERSITY boffin who wanted to bring his wife to work for “emotional support” after he allegedly suffered “mob bullying” has lost his appeal in the Fair Work Commission.

University of NSW professional officer Daniel Krcho took more than a year’s worth of leave because he said the management bullied him and used “OH&S policies for improper purpose”. He made an application for an anti-bullying order to the Fair Work Commission in July which was denied — the commission subsequently dismissed an appeal last December and another appeal on Thursday.

Dr Krcho had a letter from his GP stating he was fit to return to work with emotional support — preferably from his wife Andrea — for an unspecified ”adjustment period”, the Fair Work judgment read.

The letter stated the “support person” would need to be present for any meetings with management, who Dr Krcho labelled as bullies.

Dr Krcho on Sunday told The Daily Telegraph he wanted his wife “to support me” and that she had previously “dropped in occasionally to help me write”.

“The bottom line is I was ready to go back to work, and I wrote to the university,” he said.

But the university wrote to him on June 27, 2019 saying his wife was not welcome to accompany him to work.

They also said a psychiatrist had diagnosed him with delusional disorder and there was “considerable concern for your health and safety, and the health and safety of others in the workplace”.

Dr Krcho, who works in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, told the Telegraph the university had engaged in covert “spying and stalking”, “defamation and deception” and invented fake reasons to issue him show cause letters to terminate his employment, including allegations he used webcams to spy on his colleagues. But he said the webcams were not plugged in or connected and he was using them in a work project with microscopes.

A university spokeswoman said they would not comment on personnel matters.
