Sydney train commuters are facing delays of up to 20 minutes across multiple lines on Tuesday morning.
A Transport for NSW spokeswoman said there were delays up to 20 minutes across the T2 Leppington and Inner West line, Liverpool and Inner West line, Cumberland line and Airport and South line due to a mechanical issue at Liverpool on Tuesday morning.
She said commuters should expect the delays to subside before 10am.
Travellers heading east on the Blue Mountains line were also impacted by repairs at Springwood on Tuesday morning, which caused one train scheduled to arrive at Penrith at 7.11am to run six minutes late.
Commuters are being urged to allow up to 30 minutes extra travel time to accomodate for delays.
The Transport for NSW website, which lists train alerts, also warned commuters across all train networks to be mindful when travelling on the trains during the predicted wet weather.
