A Tesla has flipped on one of Sydney’s busiest roads causing a headache for motorists on Sunday afternoon.
Eastbound traffic on the Anzac Bridge was affected for nearly an hour when the vehicle overturned while approaching the Sydney Fish Market exit about 1pm.
It is understood no-one was injured in the crash, but passers-by and other drivers shared dramatic photos of the incident on social media.
Lauren Evangelo was driving on the Anzac Bridge in the immediate aftermath, and said the occupants “looked distressed and shaken up” as she passed them on the side of the road.
In a photo taken by her partner in the passenger seat, the boot of the vehicle was open and debris from beneath the Tesla strewn onto the road, and other motorists were seen attending to the driver.
Ms Evangelo said the good Samaritans who stopped unintentionally added to the chaos, before at least one police car arrived to assist.
“(I was) trying to use that off-ramp, lots of cars stopped to help and created a lot of traffic,” she said.
A NSW Police spokesman confirmed the Anzac Bridge has now fully reopened and traffic has returned to normal, and only one vehicle was towed from the scene.
“It was a relatively minor incident, other than the traffic chaos it caused,” he said.
