Thoroughbred devotee Michael Sissian and interior designer wife Linda are selling their home in Mosman.
They hope for $13.5 million-plus for the classically restored manor on Balmoral Slopes.
With views over Middle Harbour, the two-level, four-bedroom home has 1270sq m of lawn and landscaped gardens.
The Agency’s Nic Yates has the listing.
The Sissians paid $4.55 million in 2002 when they moved from Bellevue Hill, where they had sold to Peter Yates when he moved from Melbourne to run the Packer media empire.
Mosman agents are currently sensing heightened interest from Hong Kong buyers — both Chinese-born and Australian expatriates — for their limited trophy home offerings.
Realestate.com.au reports record levels of buyer searches from Hong Kong.
Michael Coombs at LJ Hooker AVNU has hired Bo Zhang, formerly at Belle Property, who has been among the busiest agents with a hand in 22 sales in the past 12 months, at a $5 million average.
Mosman’s top 2019 sales are surrounded by intrigue, with both bullish $15 million sales yet to settle.
There was also an internal $23 million family transfer when Michael Messara bought Seacliff from his horse-breeder father, John.
LUCKED IN
Fashion designer Kit Willow has relisted her Vaucluse home with a less ambitious price hope than earlier this year.
The redesigned 1930s home is scheduled for November 18 auction with $5 million hopes through Laing & Simmons agent D’Leanne Lewis.
Earlier this year Willow and her husband, property developer Mark Podgornik, had anticipated pocketing $5.8 million.
They had bought the house in 2010 for $2.1 million.
There was a two-year renovation creating the three-level residence with a glass-fronted living area and a separate au pair suite.
LOOSE LIPS
Former trade minister Andrew Robb and wife Maureen have sold at Palm Beach for $4,075,000.
They sold luxury hilltop home Indigo to Abacus Property Group boss Steven Sewell and his wife Sarah.
The Robbs bought it for $3,735,000 in 2017 after they returned from Melbourne.
Indigo was just across the road from the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Pip and Andrew Goldsmith, who were running the Boathouse restaurant empire.
The Robbs have recently reinvested in the Boathouse after the Goldsmiths sold out to a syndicate.
LEGEND
Rugby League legend Steve ‘Turvey’ Mortimer has sold his Woollahra investment apartment for $966,000 at midweek auction.
There were two bidders after it kicked off at $875,000 before being called on the market at $935,000 by auctioneer Damien Cooley.
The Edgecliff Rd apartment cost Mortimer $720,000 in 2012, with this latest sale price showing more than 4 per cent annual price growth.
The renovated first-floor unit in a block of 16 apartments has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
