South-west Sydney’s brand new six-in-one Ambarvale Hotel
A new mega-venue is opening in south west Sydney complete with a microbrewery, lush garden bar, sports theatre and more, breathing fresh life into the booming area.
Young inner-city couples in search of cheaper housing in Sydney’s southwest are driving a rise in late night eating and drinking.
The hospitality industry is following the trend and sprucing up the options for people who are used to variety.
The latest addition is a new mega-venue, a six-in-one super pub that has been two years and “many millions” in the making.

The Ambarvale Hotel, which opened on Friday night, has been built by Colin Parras whose family have run eastern suburbs and inner-west venues for 40 years including the Cock ‘n’ Bull at Bondi Junction, Vic On The Park at Marrickville and Bond’s The Eastern.
Seeing a huge demand for something-for-everyone venues out west, Mr Parras decided to jump in.
“There is a big movement out here,” he said.
“A lot of families, a lot of young couples who have moved from the inner city and want to own their own home and have a backyard.
“They’re used to having those nice restaurants and you shouldn’t have to sacrifice that to get to the next stage in your life.”
The venue now includes a microbrewery and bar, a bistro, a lush flora-filled atrium called The Greenhouse, a kid’s area, sports bar and more.
Importantly, it is open until 2am Monday to Saturday and midnight on Sunday.
