South Sydney Rabbitohs boss Shane Richardson and wife Kate are selling their Little Bay penthouse.
The couple are set to downsize again within the neighbourhood, where they moved after selling their $1.68 million Coogee semi in 2014.
Their initial Little Bay abode was a three-bedroom house they sold in 2017 for $1.9 million.
The three-bedroom penthouse with rooftop garden, bought in 2017, has been listed by McGrath agent Marnie Seinor.
The fifth-floor apartment has ocean views from what is currently the highest spot within the precinct.
Inspectees spotted next year’s NRL fixture on the fridge door.
It was Nick Pappas who recruited Richardson from Penrith to South Sydney in 2004, where, along with Russell Crowe and Peter Holmes a Court, he helped turn the team into an NRL powerhouse.
He rejoined in 2016 after a brief stint at NRL’s headquarters.
Little Bay has seen 3.9 per cent compound growth for houses and 5.1 per cent for units over the past five years, according to realestate.com.au.
DONOVAN OFFLOADS BONDI BOLTHOLE
Singer Jason Donovan secured the sale of his Bondi Beach bolthole yesterday.
Hannan Bouskila at Raine & Horne sold it to an investor after advising a $2,295,000
asking price.
Donovan had $1700-per-week tenants.
The star spent $451,000 to buy the three-bedroom Campbell Pde apartment in 1994.
Realestate.com.au puts the suburb’s median apartment price at $1.075 million, from the 116 sales over the past year. The prior five-year average was 229 sales annually, highlighting the continued vendor hesitancy.
The sale proceeds will now fund a holiday home in Mallorca, Spain, for Donovan, the father of Zac, Jemma and Molly.
The Sun recently put the value of his Kensington, West London, home at £5.5 million ($10 million).
SMALL HOUSE, BIG HOPES
The Small House in Surry Hills, designed by architect Domenic Alvaro, has returned to the market with $2.6 million hopes. The five-level home, with 200sqm floor space, won the World Architecture Festival’s World House of the Year in 2011.
The Belmore Lane Grand Designs Australia-featured home was first sold for $1.88 million in 2014 by Alvaro to Jason Madz, who sought $2500-a-week tenants.
Constructed from precast concrete panels, it has city skyline views.
It has been listed by Gavin Rubinstein and James Peach at Ray White.
The house features an Italian marble kitchen and European appliances.
One of its bathrooms finds space for a stand-alone bathtub.
WINNING WAYS AT BALMAIN EAST
The Balmain East home of Jo Devery, the chief operating officer of Winning Appliances, has been listed for December 7 auction.
The three-storey harbourfront comes with a 9.5m jetty, mooring pen and a pool on its 470sqm holding.
The northerly aspect over Mort Bay can be viewed from throughout the five-bedroom Nicholson St house.
The offering, through Matthew Hayson and Rita Lopresti at Cobden & Hayson, includes a studio.
The 1980s designed home has seen its three bathrooms refreshed in recent times. The listing comes as the family seeks to be closer to the children’s schools in the east.

Balmain East’s last reported waterfront sale was last November. The peninsula had a recent strong non-waterfront sale when Hexham fetched $7.5 million through Pillinger Real Estate.
