A woman who staggered into Westmead Hospital on Saturday night after being seriously injured with gunshot wounds is staying silent about the circumstances of the shooting.

A woman shot in the chest and arm is refusing to cooperate with police, who are working to piece together circumstances behind the attack in Sydney’s west.
Officers were called after the distressed woman, 31, staggered into Westmead Hospital bleeding from gunshot wounds to her chest and arm at about 6.45pm on Saturday.

She is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.
Police found an abandoned car on Caroline Street, Westmead, and established a crime scene.
