Salim Mehajer flaunts winnings from bet on Mayweather fight

DISGRACED former Auburn mayor, Salim Mehajer, has made headlines again after using social media to show off his riches from gambling on the Mayweather-McGregor fight in Las Vegas over the weekend.

DISGRACED former Auburn mayor, Salim Mehajer, has made headlines again after using social media to flaunt his riches from gambling on the Mayweather-McGregor fight over the weekend.

Mr Mehajer travelled to Las Vegas for the fight, when his bail conditions for fraud charges were loosened last week. Earlier in the week Mr Mehajer posted a photo to Instagram of his passport and laptop with the caption, “Work, work work… then Travel and then repeat.”

Mr Mehajer’s travel itinerary had to be approved by the court prior to his departure and upon his departure, Mr Mehajer rejected claims he was travelling to Las Vegas for the match.

However his Instagram page gives a clear indication of his activities.

Mr Mehajer posted a photo collage of himself in the VIP entrance claiming to have seats good enough to be a judge, and captioned the photo, “I couldn’t have asked for a much better Gift then this! To me, it was a gift from God. Being seated in the best possible seats, surrounded by an awesome crowd (boy they were Loud) and witnessing the greatest fights to ever go down in history, is surely a Blessing that I will forever appreciate and never forget…. However, the result was inevitable. In conclusion- it was I N C R E D I B L E!!!!”

During the day’s events, Mr Mehajer proudly flaunted his cash with a video of a female staffer counting piles of cash from his winnings. He captioned the shot, “Thanks Floyd, that’s was a last minute ditch… mind, less the online $$$.”

He took the opportunity to further flaunt his lifestyle with a photo of a car with large text, The money team.

He was later pictured with a Ferrari, captioned “When you can’t sleep because your financial partner hires you out a surprise car for the week. Feeling blessed, to have great people around me.”

Mr Mehajer made headlines last year when his wedding caused controversy in Western Sydney and has since made the spotlight for fraud charges, after he allegedly forged Australian Electoral Commission enrolments.

Mr Mehajer is expected to give back his passport within 24 hours of his return to Australia.
