Salim Mehajer denies leg tattoo of wife Aysha’s face belongs to him
SALIM Mehajer has denied a massive leg tattoo of his wife Aysha’s face actually belongs to him. And he’ll prove it, too ... but not til next Friday.
A SYDNEY man has Salim Mehajer’s wife’s face tattooed on his upper thigh and her name on his calf.
But the suspended Auburn deputy mayor says the full-leg tattoo that was created at Bondi Ink 18 months ago does not belong to him — even though it includes an intricate portrait of his wife Aysha Mehajer on the upper thigh and her name on the lower leg.
Other images include a hand gun, similar to the one Mr Mehajer used in his wedding video last year, and the letters “SM”.
There is even a crown exactly the same as the one used by his family company, Mehajer Bros, and one that adorns Mr Mehajer’s front door at his home in Lidcombe.
Among dollar signs, skulls and roses the word “millionaire” is scrawled in large letters above the knee.
Bondi Ink posted a photo of the intricate tattoo on Instagram.
Mr Mehajer yesterday offered to show The Daily Telegraph his leg to prove it is tattoo free. But he couldn’t fit the viewing in until next Friday.
“You have the wrong person. Come visit me I’ll show you my legs,” he said.
“Come around next Friday. Give me a call.”
Rather than wait a week, The Telegraph instead spoke to a former Bondi Ink tattoo artist who said he created the tattoo and that his client was Mr Mehajer.
“I did a fair amount of work on him,” he said.
“He’s a pretty cool cat, he chooses his own designs and I blend them in.”
Rarely is Mr Mehajer seen outside in anything but trousers, and when he is snapped wearing shorts and the photo is posted for his 30,000 plus Instagram fans to admire, the posts appear to have been suspiciously photoshopped.
A Mehajer family friend said Mr Mehajer also has tattoos on his back and chest, but his father was not aware of the tattoos so he was trying to keep them under wraps.
