THE son of murdered mother-of-four Sharon Michelutti yesterday afternoon rushed at the police line trying to reach the property where her body was found.

He screamed at detectives: “You f****** said you were going to let me see my mum. You didn’t.

“F****** hell I just want to see my mum. Is she still in there? Where is she? Can I see her?” he yelled.

Ten News reported he then screamed: “My dad killed her, didn’t he?’ before an ambulance arrived to treat the man about 2pm.

De facto partner Gavin Debeyer, 50, was arrested shortly after midday yesterday when police attended a house on Kentucky Rd, Riverwood and discovered the mum’s body in one of the bedrooms.

Debeyer made no application for bail in Burwood Local Court today after arriving in court dressed in a white forensic suit with the hood pulled over his face.

His legal aid lawyer asked for the accused to be listed as a self-harm risk and he made an application for representation by the Aboriginal Legal Service.

Court documents allege that Debeyer murdered Ms Michelutti between 9.45am and 12.04pm on Monday.

Ms Michelutti’s son Kurt posted of his grief yesterday, saying it had been “One of the toughest days of my life”.

“People just ring ur (sic) parents and tell them u (sic) love them,” Kurt wrote on Facebook.

Police will not say how the mother died, but were at the scene today, monitoring the apartment.

Neighbours of Ms Michelutti said they heard yelling and screaming coming from her unit in the hours before her body was discovered.

Another resident, who also asked not to named, had been in his front yard about 10am on Monday when he saw Mr Debeyer walking down the road.

“I was sitting down and I saw him march up with some groceries or whatever ... and he was whingeing to a bloke that owned owed him $10,” he said.

Another resident, Barry Walsh, said he regularly saw Debeyer exercising and hadn’t had any trouble in 50 years living on the street.

This morning police could be seen canvassing residents and moving in and out of Debeyer’s single-storey housing commission property.

Kentucky Rd was closed 100m in both directions this afternoon.

Debeyer will next appear in Burwood Local Court via audio-visual link on March 30.
