RFS tanker roll over leaves 6 injured in Bathurst

Two RFS members have been flown to hospital with severe head and chest injuries, after the tanker they were driving in rolled over in Bathurst.

Two RFS members have been flown to hospital with severe head and chest injuries, and four others have been hurt after the tanker they were driving in rolled over in White Rock, near Bathurst, NSW.

Emergency services were called to White Rock Road, White Rock, in NSW Central West, at around 11am on Saturday, after reports an RFS tanker had rolled over on route to a nearby grassfire.

The Eglington One Alpha truck was responding to a nearby grassfire, when the tanker rolled, trapping two of the six occupants.

Rescue crews from police and SES worked to extract the two trapped fireys.

A female in her 20s, was flown to Westmead Hospital with severe head and chest injuries, and a male in his 40s, was flown to Liverpool hospital with chest and leg injuries.

Two males, aged in their 50s, were taken to Bathurst and Orange hospital with back injuries. The other two occupants, age unknown, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
