A NSW Supreme Court judge has found a woman guilty of murdering her former lover in western Sydney in 2013.
Louise Catherine Spiteri-Ahern had denied soliciting a man to shoot Raymond Pasnin but Justice Stephen Rothman today found the 27-year-old guilty, following a two-month, judge-only trial.
However, he found 30-year-old April Barber, who was another former lover of Mr Pasnin, not guilty of being an accessory before the fact after the Crown alleged she set him up by ensuring he’d be at a certain place at a certain time.

Barber’s partner at the time of the killing, 39-year-old Amin Zraika, was also found not guilty of concealing a serious indictable offence.
Raymond Pasnin was shot through the heart in the carpark of a Pendle Hill unit block on the night of October 30, 2013.
He later died in hospital and a post mortem examination found a single .38 calibre bullet had travelled through Pasnin’s left elbow, entered his torso and went through his heart and lungs before lodging in his body.
Daniel Haile, 29, was found guilty last year of the 2013 shooting murder of Pasnin.
The NSW Supreme Court found Haile was paid more than $4000 for the prearranged hit, rejecting his claims he shot in self defence, and sentenced him to a maximum term of 32 years.
The court earlier heard Spiteri-Ahern developed an “obsession” with the victim after he was unfaithful to her and was driven by her “anger, possessiveness, jealously, vengeance and hatred” to pay Haile for the hit.
The pair broke up in late 2012, prompting her to bombard him with angry text messages.
