If you think bovines and ballet have nothing in common – think again.
A prominent northern NSW identity is selling a prime piece of farming land at Cudgen, a short drive from the Queensland-NSW border – and to sweeten the deal he’s throwing in a fully operational dance studio with the cattle.
The 35 hectare Tweed Coast Rd property is being listed by Ray White Burleigh Group South, which has secured a foothold in the northern NSW market. The property is open to expressions of interest and officially hits the market in January.
The property is owned by Alan McIntosh, a well-known northern NSW identity who opened Kingscliff’s first newsagency, and notably offered to gift a $2.5m parcel of land to the NSW government in 2018 to build the new Tweed Hospital.
The dance studio, Cudgen Dance Farm, has been onsite for close to five decades.
The sprawling property also includes a six-bedroom home, two separate rental flats and 16 cows, one bull and 16 calves. Talk about a full dance card.
Ray White Burleigh Group South agent Jessica Otto said: “How’s that for a deal sweetener?”
“Buy a dance studio, get a herd of cows thrown in for free – I’ve got no beef with that,” she said.
The expression of interest process comes as the new Tweed hospital in Cudgen, near the Kingscliff CBD, is due to open early next year.
