POLICE have withdrawn two child pornography charges against Lone Wolf bikie gang president Erkan Keskin after his legal team submitted the material in question were “family photographs”.

But three days before police withdrew the charges, they charged his wife Kristen Keskin over the same photographs.

On Tuesday (August 21) Mrs Keskin, 39, was escorted off an Emirates flight at Sydney International Airport in front of her four children moments before they were due to fly to Dubai.

She was granted strict conditional bail after being charged with one count of producing child pornography and is expected to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on September 6.

Erkan Keskin was charged in April this after NSW Police homicide detectives investigating the death of 29-year-old Mehmet Yilmaz seized a computer from his Millers Point home.

The 41-year-old -known as “Eric the Wolf” — has not been charged with the murder.

“During a forensic examination of the computer, investigators located images deemed as child exploitation material on the hard drive,” NSW Police said in a statement yesterday.

Keskin’s charges were formally withdrawn at Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court yesterday (August 24).

The withdrawal came after barrister Avni Djemal submitted there was no evidence the photographs amounted to child abuse and said the same computer was seized and analysed by police by the then Organised Crime Squad in July 2015.

“The analysis of the contents of the computer by that agency did not result in any charges being laid, notwithstanding the very same images were present,” Mr Djemal states in his submissions.

“The evidence in the brief would lead to the conclusion that all of the photographs were taken by the mother of the children and the context of the photographs are part of an array of numerous family photographs of the defendant’s family held on his wife’s computer,” he said.

Keskin is currently serving a nine-month suspended sentence after he told five associates — who are in custody at various jails across the country — that he had been summoned to the Crime Commission for questioning over three murders, in breach of a non publication order he was handed.

He was sentenced on July 27 after pleading guilty to five counts of making publication in contravention of a direction.
