RURAL crime specialists have seized almost 100 sheep and a stolen luxury car from a property in the Riverina region.
Detectives from the Rural Crime Prevention Team acting on intelligence searched the farm on Mees Lane, Wantiool, near Junee, at 9.15am Wednesday finding a Mercedes AMG worth more than $100,000, which had been reported stolen in 2014.

“To get a high-end luxury Mercedes vehicle on a rural location, is a little bit unusual, it has some links back into Sydney,” sergeant Damian Nott said.
“The first thing we have to do is identify who the true owners of these sheep are.”
Police, who rounded up the sheep in a temporary pen and inspected their ear markings, carried out the raid as part of a wider investigation.
