A possible drug debt hanging over the head of a young Central Coast tradie is a line of inquiry for police as they continue to investigate what happened when he vanished late last month.

Logan Losurdo, 20, has not been seen since the early hours of November 26 when he was captured on CCTV talking to a mystery man on Pebble Beach Ave in Magenta.

The disappearance of the former high school vice-captain has left the tight knit Central Coast community baffled and led to an outpouring of determination to find Mr Losurdo alive.

A Facebook group “Looking for Logan” provides regular updates for the family, friends and volunteers who have been joining specialist police in their daily search along the coastline near where Mr Losurdo was last seen.

Logan Losurdo was last seen about 1.15am on Friday 26 November.

So far a black Billabong jacket and a wallet belonging to him have been found in the area.

Police sources said there had so far been no indication his disappearance was suspicious but investigators are understood to be looking into a possible drug debt as a reason for Mr Losurdo vanishing.

They stressed however that did not mean his disappearance was thought to be suspicious.

Refusing to give up hope that the young man will be found alive, family and friends involved in the search are using unique methods in a bid to find him.

A drone broadcasting audio messages of support from Mr Losurdo’s loved ones has been flown in the sky around the area he was last seen.

“Loges, it’s Gershy, the boys are on our way mate, we’re coming to find ya,” one audio message said.

“If you can hear this, just make any noise you can, shake a tree, yell out, do whatever it takes, mate. We’re coming for ya, we all love ya.”

Posters have also been put up throughout the local area in the hope he, or someone who knows something, will see them.

The alarm was raised when Mr Losurdo failed to show up to work on Friday, November 26, with Strike Force McConnell established by police to investigate his disappearance.

Family and friends say his disappearance is uncharacteristic.

Last week police released CCTV footage of the last known sighting of Mr Losurdo in which he interacts with a man about 1.15am on the day he was reported missing.

The video shows the mystery man stepping out of a car and speaking to Mr Losurdo – before getting back into the vehicle and driving away.

Despite police making a public appeal for the mystery man to come forward, detectives have not yet been able to identify him.

There is no suggestion the man pictured in the CCTV is involved in Mr Losurdo’s disappearance and police continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Police have released CCTV images of a vehicle whose driver they would like to speak to.

“Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Police District continue to conduct extensive inquiries in relation to the whereabouts of Logan Losurdo under Strike Force McConnell,” a NSW Police spokesman said.

“As police continue their investigation, officers are continuing to urge anyone who may have seen or spoken to Logan on the evening of Thursday 25 November or in the early hours of Friday 26 November to contact Wyong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
