She’s been laying low since news of her marriage breakdown to NRL player Sam Burgess broke two weeks ago, however Phoebe Burgess put her troubles aside to make an appearance at today’s Derby Day celebrations.

The mother of two, who has maintained a dignified silence since it was revealed she had separated from her husband, was a guest at the Lexus Marquee at today’s race day celebrations in Melbourne.

The 30-year-old journalist, who has been living at her parents Bowral property for the past three weeks, joined Jodi Gordon, Montana Cox, Jordan Barrett, Ksenija Lukich and Ian Thorpe and Ryan Channing in the marquee. The Johnson’s Baby ambassador looked stylish in a black and white polka dot dress.

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for Phoebe, whose father, former Minerals Council of Australia chief executive Mitchell Hooke, took out an AVO against her ex-husband following an incident at his Bowral home last month. Burgess has since been charged with intimidation.

She has also had to watch on as her 30-year-old estranged husband celebrated the 50th birthday of NRL star Sean Garlick on a cruise in Mexico where he was seen mingling with bikini clad women.

Then earlier this week it was revealed Burgess had been messaging Married At First Sight tragic Jessica Power. Phoebe is yet to be seen in public since her highly publicised marriage breakdown came to light, however last weekend shared a video of herself with her children two-year-old Poppy and 10-month-old Billy in the Southern Highlands, where she has been staying.

“Horses heal everything,” the Johnson and Johnson ambassador wrote on a photo of her daughter Poppy grooming a horse. She also shared a photo of Poppy with her grandfather, writing, “Dad and Poppy. Reminds me of when I was this little.”
