Phoebe Burgess is making hay while the sun shines and moving on with her life in the wake of bombshell allegations about her former husband Sam Burgess.

The 31-year-old posted two photographs on her Instagram on Sunday night taken at her parents’ Southern Highlands estate.

Looking relaxed while sitting on a pile of hay with her three-year-old daughter Poppy, Phoebe thanked her fans for supporting her and her children.

“Simply because I was silent doesn’t mean I didn’t hear you, thank you for your kindness. Means the world to us’,” she posted.

Last week, lawyers for Sam Burgess told a court leaked allegations of drug and domestic abuse made by the Rabbitohs star’s estranged wife Phoebe were “born out of malice or retaliation” for separate legal proceedings.

Solicitor Bryan Wrench claimed at Moss Vale Local Court on Wednesday while representing Burgess on charges of assault and intimidation of Phoebe’s father Mitch Hooke.

The retired Souths captain has pleaded not guilty to intimidation and indicated a not guilty plea to the assault charge. Police charged Burgess after an argument at the Hooke family’s Bowral property on October 19, 2019.

Burgess was visiting his two children and was asked to leave by his father-in-law.

Phoebe Burgess handed previously handed a 50-page affidavit to police at Southern Highlands station alleging her ex-husband had drug benders and was domestically violent.

Burgess has denied the allegations, which were published in The Australian newspaper.
