Man walking on M4 killed by truck near Mulgoa Rd
A MAN is dead after being hit by a vehicle on the M4 near Penrith. Two city-bound lanes are closed to traffic and police and paramedics are on the scene.

A PEDESTRIAN is dead after being hit by a vehicle on the M4 near Penrith.
It is understood the man was walking on the side of the highway 200m east of Mulgoa Rd near Jamisontown when struck by an eastbound truck.
Police said the man was hit near the on-ramp at about 12.20pm.

The man driving the truck was taken to Nepean Hospital suffering shock. He will undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.
Two city-bound lanes are now open to traffic, which is easing, but Live Traffic Sydney is urging drivers to maintain vigilance.
Meanwhile, a truck and a car have collided on Taren Point Rd at the intersection with Toorak Ave. One southbound lanes is blocked, and traffic is heavy back to Captain Cook Bridge.
