The Snitch: Dial-a-dealer perks; PLUS Google’s Fadi Ibrahim photo fail

One dial-a-dealer drug syndicate has been rolling out the perks for drivers to keep a competitive edge. Razija Adilovic and her beau Gabriel Issa ran a lucrative cocaine supply business from their cosy Campsie unit with delivery drivers at their disposal.

Australia's Growing Drug Crisis

Free meals, or fuel costs reimbursed and flexible hours. Sounds like a pretty good gig on face value — except your bosses are cocaine dealers.

Dial-a-dealer drug syndicates are a dime in a dozen these days, but one group in western Sydney threw in a few perks for a competitive edge.

Razija Adilovic and her burly beau Gabriel Issa ran a lucrative cocaine supply business from their cosy Campsie unit with a bevy of delivery drivers at their disposal.

Among them was Ahmad Khan.

Khan was provided with a drug phone and each shift he picked up bags of cocaine from the kingpin couple before awaiting instructions for delivery.

For every bag of cocaine — with 0.5g of drugs inside — delivered Khan earned himself $40.

According to court documents, Khan’s bosses also reimbursed their drivers’ fuel costs, covered their meals on shift and threw in a mobile phone too.

Between mid-February and mid-March last year, Khan, one of seven delivery drivers charged, delivered 127 bags of cocaine over 76 deliveries.

Khan, who used the codename “Albert” when dealing with his bosses, collected $37,400 from the deliveries.

The 22-year-old has avoided any time in the big house, with a district court judge sentencing him on Friday to a two-year community corrections order and 300 hours of community service.

“My client has been on bail since March last year and has demonstrated significant rehabilitation in that time,” his lawyer Fadi Abbas said outside the court.

FADI’S ONLINE

Managing your online profile is an arduous task these days. The sheer number of social media and digital platforms we leave our footprint on makes it almost a 24/7 keeping on top of it.

Just ask Fadi Ibrahim.

Google, the world’s biggest search engine, can’t even get his picture right.

A Google of Mr Ibrahim’s name brings up a short profile of the third oldest Ibrahim brother.

But in the place where an image of Fadi’s always immaculately presented mush should be, is a photo of a Sydney real estate agent.

So who’s the other bloke? And why is he occupying Fadi’s online real estate?

Our guess is that it’s probably a quirk where Google sources photos for such purposes from the highest clicked on website featuring the person’s name.

The real estate agent is Grant Edward Simpson and the web page the picture is sourced from is an article from The Daily Telegraph last month that reported on a legal stoush he had with Fadi.

Fadi sued Simpson and settled the case after the real estate agent agreed to repay him $220,000.

According to the news report, barrister Michael Bennett told the court Ibrahim lent Simpson $200,000 in 2017 as a short-term high-interest deal.

Simpson was the managing director of the franchisee, which ran the McGrath Rouse Hill real estate agents in the northwestern suburbs, before his company
went into liquidation in 2018, the report said.

Mr Bennett told the court the unsecured loans were to be invested in a land subdivision deal Simpson had come across through his business.

But when the money never came back, Fadi launched legal action, the court heard.

With those set of facts, you’d have to agree it’s a bit awks that Simpson’s head is now on Fadi’s Google profile.
