All eyes on paralympian Alcott’s newly founded love with married Melbourne sexologist
About a year on from splitting with long-term girlfriend Kate Lawrence, Paralympian Dylan Alcott is happily parading his new love affair online. His new belle is a sexologist from Melbourne — who also happens to be married.
He’s been called many things. An inspiration, a rebel, a pioneer, a handful, an egomaniac — but until now Dylan Alcott has never been called a home wrecker.
The Paralympian’s new romance with a married sexologist is currently scandalising conservative Melbourne where the couple — and her recently estranged ex-husband — live.
Chantelle Otten, who describes herself on social media as a sexologist and sexual health and wellness speaker, last week posted a photo of herself with Alcott to her social media account. Of Alcott she said: “Welcome home my hero. I love you more than anything.”
The image sits in stark contrast to other pictures on her Instagram site, among them tutorials on female squirting, erotic art, images of couples making love and sexy affirmations such as “a better me is coming”.
While Alcott could not be reached for comment yesterday about his new love, sources say the couple met two months ago after Otten approached Alcott at a book signing for his autobiography, Abled.
She requested a shot of Alcott with a disabled family member and posted the image to social media (since deleted), tagging in the gold medallist who until last year was in a long-term relationship.
Alcott, 28, responded to Otten on social media and, by all accounts, things heated up quickly.
A well-placed source said Otten left her husband eight weeks ago — about a week after meeting Alcott.
The Paralympian and radio presenter posted an image of Otten holding flowers and a sheet of paper bearing his name to his social media account last week captioning it: “Nailed her first airport pick-up”.
Alcott has previously admitted the question he is most frequently asked is “can you have sex?”
The wheelchair crowd surfer has repeatedly stated he can.
“You can still do things (when you’re disabled). You might do it differently or some other way,” he has said.
The news is expected to go down like a lead balloon at Nine where Alcott was this year appointed to the sex-and-scandal plagued The Footy Show panel following the departures of Garry Lyon and Billy Brownless after it emerged in 2016 that Lyon was having a relationship with Brownless’s ex-wife, Nicky.
Alcott’s appointment to the revamped show in 2019 was an attempt by Nine to clean up the program.
