A high end Bondi eatery that spent $2 million opening has gone into administration after little more than a year of business.
Pacific Club Bondi Beach on Campbell Parade opened June last year, touted as one of Sydney’s hottest new venues with a seemingly impressive list of people behind its conception.
Co-owners Matt Williams and Frederic Luvisutto are prolific businessmen in their own right.
Mr Williams is the son of Geoff Williams, owner of Ashfield’s Crocodile Farm Hotel.
Earlier this year he and another buyer took over Coopers Hotel on King St, Newtown, for a reported $13.5 million.
Mr Luvisutto was formerly the managing director of The Star Entertainment Group.
He was poached by multi-billion dollar casino Wynn Palace Macau where he works currently as the chief operating officer.

The businessmen hired Dreamtime Australia Design, run by Michael McCann, to put together the venue’s extravagant multimillion-dollar fit out.
Mr McCann is best known for his work with Merivale venues Mr Wong and Felix, The Argyle and “the Prada of butcheries” Victor Churchill.
His fit-out for Pacific Club Bondi Beach included hand-carved tiles from India, a meticulously assembled mosaic mural, a bespoke designer fire place and polished marble.
Mr Williams and Mr Luvisutto also enlisted celebrated chef Bret Cameron, formerly of multi award-winning restaurant Harvest Newrybar and 2016 Australian Bartender of the Year Michael Chiem.
At the time of opening some publications did note fine dining was not the focus of the Campbell Parade strip, considering its proximity to the beach salty surfers after fish and chips were more the market.
Administrators Hogan Sprowles were appointed on Tuesday with the first meeting of creditors taking place next Thursday 31 October.
Hogan and Sprowles administrator Christian Sprowles said The Pacific Club Bondi Beach would continue to operate during while in administration.
“The business will continue to trade during the voluntary administration,” he said.
“Our appointment is over Footprint Hospitality Pty Ltd (the owner of The Pacific Club Bondi Beach) only (not the directors’ other businesses).”
The Daily Telegraph has contacted the owners for comment.
