One man critical and another injured in double stabbing attack
A 21-YEAR-OLD is fighting for his life in hospital after he and another man were stabbed in a back alley in Sydney’s north west on Friday evening.

A 21-YEAR-OLD is fighting for his life in hospital after he and another man were stabbed in a back alley in Sydney’s north west on Friday evening.
The stabbing occurred at about 9.15pm on Pennicook Lane, just around the corner from Pennant Hills train station.
The 21-year-old was stabbed in the torso and both arms.
He was rushed to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The other man, a 24-year-old, was stabbed in the arm and was also taken to Westmead, where he is in a stable condition.
Police said they believed that two groups began fighting in the alley prior to the frenzied attack.
Numerous men fled the scene after the bloody attack police said.
A crime scene was established in the dark alley filled with garbage bins.
A full ‘black and gold’ branded cola bottle sat in the laneway and was being treated as possible evidence by police in relation to the stabbing.
They are urging anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Across town, a 72-year-old woman allegedly stabbed a 79-year-old man in a vicious domestic incident at Caringbah.
When emergency services arrived at the unit on Willarong Road, they found the man bleeding all over his body.
The elderly man had sustained cuts to his arms and legs and he was taken to Sutherland Hospital.
Police said the pair were known to one another.
Police arrested the woman and took her to Sutherland Hospital to be assessed.
The man’s injuries are not considered life threatening.
