THE mother of two children shot dead by their father in Sydney’s west has released a photograph of her son and daughter as she returned home for the first time since the double murder.
Escorted by two detectives, Olga Edwards returned to her the Hull Rd, West Pennant Hills property this afternoon.
Detectives spent much of the day with her as loving messages and tributes piled up on the footpath outside the house where Jack, 15, and Jennifer Edwards, 13, were murdered by their father on Thursday.
Friends arrived at Hull Rd throughout the day to pay tribute to the teen siblings.
Peggy Deng was in grade eight at Gosford High School with Jennifer, who she remembered as an extremely intelligent student and keen ice skater.
“She always had a laugh every day with us,” the 14-year-old said.
Peggy said Jennifer didn’t speak to her about her father, only confirming her parents had divorced.
“Despite all these problems she always kept a smile on her face,” Peggy said.
