Police are investigating a spate of suspicious car fires across Sydney overnight, with one forcing residents to evacuate from their homes.

Police are investigating a spate of suspicious car fires across Sydney overnight, with one forcing residents to evacuate from their homes.
In the most recent incident, a luxury car was destroyed when it was engulfed in flames in the city’s inner west.
Firefighters were called to Crystal St in Rozelle shortly before 3.30am following reports of a car fire.
The Range Rover was completely destroyed by the fire with nearby residents briefly forced out of their homes while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
An hour earlier, firefighters were called to Bulwarra Rd in Pyrmont following reports of a separate car fire.
Police and Fire and Rescue crews arrived to find the vehicle completely alight.
Despite the quick work by fire crews to extinguish the blaze, the vehicle was destroyed.
Police established another crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
Officers do not believe the car fire is linked to any other event at this stage.
In a third incident, a car burst into flames on Todd St in Merrylands West shortly before 1.30am on Friday.
Emergency service crews found an unattended ute on fire with fire crews quickly extinguishing the blaze.
No other property was damaged in the incident.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
