Nomads bikie figure Moudi Tajjour finds new love but loses Instagram

His last relationship provided months of click-bait fodder so this time around when Nomads bikie figure Moudi Tajjour met someone new, he took to Instagram to inform his followers his lady love wasn’t a fan of his frequent and self-indulgent posts — so he has a message for women who slide into his DMs.

His last relationship provided months of click-bait fodder.

So this time around Nomads bikie figure Moudi Tajjour is trying to keep a low profile, starting with a warning for women who slide into his DMs.

The social media devotee took to Instagram to inform his followers that he had met someone dear to him who wasn’t a fan of his frequent and self-indulgent posts.

“Out of respect for her I am unfollowing everyone and only leaving here cause she isn’t a fan (of) my Instagram in general,” Tajjour wrote.

“So to please her (I’m) gonna stop replying to all women who hit me up so please no one be offended by me removing them off my page.”

He posted a picture of self-declared socialite and Melbourne-based buxom beauty Jessica Foster, with her face blurred.

Tajjour was married to Sanaa Mehajer, sister to disgraced developer Salim Mehajer, but the pair separated last year.

STABBED COP BACK AT WORK

Fifteen months ago detective Sergeant John Breda was on death’s door after being stabbed during a routine arrest in Sydney.

It took more than 100 bags of blood to keep him alive.

But watching him stroll around the Curtis Cheng Police Centre, where he has returned to work part-time after an impressive recovery, it’s hard to imagine he went through such trauma.

Friends of the Child Abuse Squad detective say he is looking healthier, happier and noticeably more buff.

A dedicated gym routine is said to be partly responsible for his remarkable rehabilitation.

“He is almost twice the size,” one impressed colleague joked.

Sgt Breda and two other detectives were inside a Maroubra pub on Australia Day in 2018 to arrest child sex offender Nick Newman when he pulled out a knife. Newman stabbed Breda before the other detectives shot him dead.

It was touch and go for the highly-respected detective at St Vincent’s Hospital but a succession of blood transfusions helped save his life.

The other detectives involved in the shooting are also still working, with one understood to be at the Child Abuse Squad and another stationed in regional NSW.

BAR AND THE BARBER

Lawyers are a stubborn bunch.

And the best of them make a successful career by refusing to budge on the minutiae of evidence in a court case.

Barrister George Thomas is one of them and his hairstyle is an extension of that theory.

It has been about four years since his last haircut. And, as of Friday, it will probably be about six and a half more years until he gets his next one.

That number will likely have grown too by the time you read this, depending on how many people have hassled him to get a trim.

Thomas says he won’t be cutting his hair for a very long time.

“Every time someone from the legal fraternity tells me to get a haircut I add six months,” he told The Snitch while rolling a cigarette outside the Downing Centre Court on Friday.

“You’re not a lawyer, but I’ll add another six months for you anyway.”

Readers will likely remember a more clean-cut version of Mr Thomas from when he acted for disgraced cop Roger Rogerson in his trial for murdering student turned drug dealer Jamie Gao.

He also acted for Mark Wilhelm who was charged with the manslaughter of Dianne Brimble.

Outside of the law, he previously owned a number of pubs, including the Ducks Nuts at Newcastle.
In his early days as a barrister (circa 1983) he also owned a Darlinghurst fish and chip shop, called The Fish That Saved The World, where he worked at nights after long days in court.

Mr Thomas said he previously had a usual barber in Marrickville.

“He’s not a usual barber anymore,” he said.

“I was always reluctant to pay him $12, but mostly because he’s a Manly supporter.”

BLOWING SMOKE

The Snitch has heard some weird and wonderful reasons put forward in support of bail but this one is hard to believe.

In Parramatta Bail Court recently, an English man appeared for breaching his bail and snubbed legal aid to represent himself.

When he realised his release was looking increasingly unlikely, the agitated man screamed: “Your Honour, I am a smoker. If I don’t have a cigarette, I will die.”

It wasn’t a convincing argument.

After the man was told his bail was refused, he spat a vile racist remark at the legal aid lawyer before the magistrate switched off the audio visual link.

Classy.

FOOTY AND THE FAMILY

Retired NRL star Mark Gasnier is just days away from stepping into court for a face-off with his brother over a million-dollar property deal.

Mark Gasnier and his brother are going to court over a property deal.

The St George Dragons legend has asked the court to remove his brother Dean as the trustee of the family trust that the pair were going to use to redevelop a property in the Sutherland Shire.

At the heart of the dispute is a property in the Shire and the Gasnier Family trust, of which Mark and Dean are beneficiaries. But the relationship soured and descended into a court battle, which has now been set down for hearing on May 15.
