The Oscar-winning actor and her singer husband visited the oncology and intensive care units at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick before flying back to the US on Thursday.
Kidman has been an ambassador for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation for two decades and generally tries to visit whenever she is in Australia.

“It is always so important and special to visit these very sick and incredibly brave young children and their strong parents and families,” Kidman said.
“For 20 years now they continue to amaze me with their tenacity and courage. Very humbling.”
Kate Rule, whose five-year-old daughter Paige is undergoing treatment for leukaemia, said the couple were “just really lovely, warm genuine people”.
Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation chief executive Nicola Stokes said: “The joy Nicole and Keith brought to sick kids and their families was beautiful to see. Their kindness and care shone through and was such a highlight for young patients and their families. The smiles on their faces said it all.”
The “Kurban” family had been in Australia for several weeks — Kidman and the couple’s daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret mostly for holidays while Urban brought his Graffiti U tour Down Under.
While Kidman flew to Los Angeles on Thursday, Urban and the girls were on a flight home to Nashville.
