LABOR has called into question the owning of land by government MP John Sidoti that is claims “will massively increase in value as a result of government planning decisions” while serving in key roles.
Mr Sidoti’s register of disclosures lists a 10 per cent share of land in a Rouse Hill address, in addition to a jointly owned Drummoyne property.
The Drummoyne MP currently serves as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and Cabinet, and has previously served as parliamentary secretary for transport and roads, as well as for planning.
During Question Time, Opposition Leader Luke Foley asked: “How is it acceptable that the Member for Drummoyne can serve variously as the parliamentary secretary for planning, and for transport, and for roads, and for Cabinet while acquiring land and developing $68 million worth of property in north-west Sydney that will massively increase in value as result of Government planning decisions?”
