Motorcyclist dies after colliding with truck on Pennant Hills Rd at Carlingford
A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing into a B-double truck in Sydney’s north west this morning. Witnesses said the rider was lane filtering.

A motorcyclist has died at the scene after crashing into a truck at Carlingford this morning
The crash occurred on Pennant Hills Road, near the intersection of Bettington Road, about 7am.
The motorcyclists was treated at the scene but was unable to be revived.
Witnesses said the rider was lane filtering and overtaking before bouncing off a couple of cars and then being hit by the truck.
Traffic diversions are in place with major delays expected. One of two northbound lanes are closed and two of three southbound lanes are also shut.
Buses are delayed up to 20 minutes,
The crash is one of a host on Sydney’s roads this morning as wild weather wreaks havoc.

At Lidcombe six people from one car were injured when their Toyota Camry hit a power pole at Lidcombe.
The driver, a man aged in his 20’s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to a leg injury. His passenger was taken to the same hospital after sustaining a serious foot injury

Two occupants of the Camry were taken to Westmead Hospital with facial injuries One passenger was taken to Royal Price Alfred Hospital with possible internal injuries.
Another occupant was treated at the scene for minor leg injuries.
Crash investigators are looking into the matter.
