A mother allegedly let her adult son taser his seven-year-old sister for “sooking” at the supermarket — and then the girl got tasered again when she “snitched” to the school.

The primary school student is now in the care of Family and Community Services after police charged the mother and her 22-year-old son after raiding their home in Busby in Sydney’s southwest.

The mother and son charged over the alleged tasering incident cannot be identified.

It will be alleged the victim, who is in Year 3, first raised the tasering with a school counsellor last Tuesday, February 26 and then again on Wednesday, February 27.

However, the tasering allegedly dates back to the Christmas holidays, when the victim and her mother, 45, were grocery shopping.

During the victim’s interview with police, she claimed she was behaving badly in the supermarket, “sooking” and asking for things her mother wouldn’t give her.

The mother called her eldest son and told him about the victim’s behaviour.

When the mother and daughter arrived home, the son grabbed the victim by the ear and held the taser to her leg until she cried.

According to a police statement of facts tendered in court, the girl also heard her mother tell the son that night to “sell the taser or throw it out”.

It will be alleged after the victim had spoken to the school last Tuesday, she told her mother she had confided in a counsellor and pleaded with her mother to keep that a secret.

Instead, the mother told her son and he tasered his little sister for “snitching”.

When the victim spoke to the school again on Wednesday, after that tasering, police intervened.

Towards the end of the victim’s second interview, which was after school, she allegedly became fearful about her mother.

“The victim repeated these fears several times and police saw a change in her demeanour from relaxed to fearful and expressing extreme concern,” the facts allege.

That day, detectives turned up at the girl’s Busby family home with a search warrant.

The son allegedly ran from the property, through a nearby park until detectives tackled him to the ground.

The taser, disguised as an iPhone, and a replica firearm, which was actually a cap gun, were allegedly found in his bedside drawer.

During an interview with police the mother denied any knowledge of the taser or having any conversation with her daughter about it.

She was charged with using an offensive weapon to commit a serious indictable offence and granted police bail.

However her son, an apprentice cabinet maker, was refused bail in Liverpool Court on Thursday, with a magistrate finding he posed an unacceptable risk of interfering with witnesses and the victim.

“I’ll tell you what concerns me,” Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis said.

“After the disclosure of the taser she came back home and he tasered her again.”

Mr Tsavdaridis said these were “serious matters”.

The case was adjourned to March 12.
