One of Sydney’s most high-profile underworld figures has been involved in a 200km/h crash after losing control of his exotic sports car.
Mohamad “Almo” Alameddine was involved in a social drag racing event at Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek on Friday night when he crashed his white Lamborghini Huracan.
Shocking footage shows Alameddine’s vehicle suddenly veering to the right not long after the start and crashing into the wall.
Alameddine’s vehicle then spins around, before flying backwards down the track and crashing into the wall again.
In one video punters watching on can be heard gasping in shock, before one says: “That’s Alameddine, that’s Alameddine”.
Paramedics rushed to the wreckage of the luxury car, before taking Alameddine to hospital.
“He’s OK, just a bit banged up,” an underworld source said.
Alameddine is fighting attempts by NSW Police to impose the strictest Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO) of any individual in NSW on him.
Police allege he is closely linked to both the Alameddine clan and Comanchero bikie gang.
Earlier this year he featured alongside Comanchero heavyweights Tarek Zahed and Allan Meehan in a photo that was the first since Zahed was shot 10 times at a Sydney gym in May.
