The NSW Labor government has regained popularity after taking a beating in the polls over the last year, while Premier Chris Minns has taken a slight dip as preferred premier, according to new polling.
A statewide poll conducted by Resolve Strategic on behalf of The Sydney Morning Herald shows Labor has clawed back ground leading 38 per cent over the Coalition’s 32 per cent.
This is a marked increase from April when Labor was trailing with 33 per cent to the Coalition’s 36 per cent.
Yet while Mr Minns is still preferred Premier by a country mile, some of the shine has come off with only 35 per cent support, down from 40 per cent in April. Meanwhile Liberal leader Mark Speakman is trailing behind on 16 per cent.
