Michael Clarke and wife Kyly are set to move into one of Sydney’s most exclusive streets after paying $8.5 million for a harbourside Vaucluse home.

Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke looks to be leaving the Shire in favour of harbourside Vaucluse with the $8.5 million purchase of a five-bedroom home in the top notch suburb.

It is understood that Clarke and his wife Kyly paid $8.5 million for the home which was on the market with the prestigious Sydney Sotheby’s Real Estate Agency, with an original price tag of around $9.5 million. After buying the property in late March they are set to move into the home in the exclusive harbourside street this month.

There is plenty of room for children with a total of five bedrooms and six bathrooms in the custom designed home, which was advertised as offering “the ultimate family lifestyle”.

Backyard cricket is also a definite possibility with the home spread over two blocks of land.

Other top notch design features include limestone foyers, a heated pool with swimming jets and four-car lockup garage.

The agents declined to comment on the sale.

Michael Clarke and wife Kyly currently live in Lilli Pilli in the Shire.

The last time Clarke lived in the eastern suburbs was when he lived in a Bondi Beach penthouse with his then fiancee Lara Bingle.
