Meet NSW’s finalists for the ultimate title of Miss Universe Australia 2024

Meet the NSW finalists who will be fighting for the ultimate title of Miss Universe Australia 2024 and the chance to represent the nation on the world stage in Mexico.

Meet the NSW finalists who will be fighting for the ultimate title of Miss Universe Australia 2024.

On Thursday, twenty NSW Miss Universe Australia finalists participated in the state final to determine who would move forward as a National Finalists.

Following months of workshops, networking events, content creation and fundraising, the girls participated in their official interviews and runway walks with a selection committee to determine who would progress in the program.

The committee selected seven finalists who will now go on to attend the National Final events with fellow finalists from across the country.

Later this year, one finalist from across Australia will follow the footsteps of last year’s jewel Moraya Wilson and be crowned Miss Universe Australia and represent the country at the International Final in Mexico.

One of the seven finalists, Jennifer Kim, a 23-year-old model and student from Kellyville entered the contest on a whim after deciding she wanted to step out of her comfort zone.

“I was never really into pageants. I really just did it to do something that felt uncomfortable for me, but now I just love it and definitely see myself competing,” she said.

“It’s a lot about building relationships and showing your personality rather than being miss perfect, I’ve always wanted to be the best version of myself but this experience has taught me that I won’t stop until I’ve achieved that.”

Youngest among the NSW finalists is 21-year-old Tiana Meehan, who trained as a dancer and . “I’ve applied before but I didn’t have the full experience, now I’m a bit older and as a dancer, singer and actress it’s something right up my alley,” Ms Meehan said.

“I’m interested in arts for mental health, and promoting how the creative industry is a really good outlet for mental health.”
