THE SON of Celebrity Apprentice host Mark Bouris has had a charge of assault dismissed, with a Magistrate saying he cannot be satisfied that pulling out a hair extension “constitutes actual bodily harm.”

Magistrate Michael Barko said he believed both Alexandra Dankwa and Dane Bouris were “genuine witnesses”, he found there was not enough evidence to prove the hotelier had attempted to choke her.

An AVO taken out on Ms Dankwa’s behalf by police has also been dismissed.

Bouris said outside court he was “happy my name has been cleared”.

Dane Bouris had pleaded not guilty to assaulting his 23-year-old girlfriend Alexandra Dankwa, occasioning actual bodily harm, during an argument at his home in Watsons Bay in April.

The 33-year-old operates the Morgans Boutique Hotel in Darlinghurst and has appeared on Celebrity Apprentice as a boardroom adviser to his father, the founder of Wizard Home Loans and financing company Yellow Brick Road.

Ms Dankwa has said in evidence during the hearing at the Downing Centre Local Court today that she was “upset” but not “angry” that her boyfriend arrived home at 4pm on the Saturday after going out on Friday night with his father and brother.

The court heard the couple had been in a relationship for about two years prior to the incident and “have still been seeing each other” since.

Ms Dankwa, a model and fitness instructor, said she went to “collect my belongings” after discovering vomit “around the bathroom” shortly after Bouris came home and they began fighting.

“I'm not going to worry about your health if you don’t,” Ms Dankwa says she told Bouris after he “apologised ... because he was not in a sober state.”

The court heard Ms Dankwa believed Bouris was “coming down” from hours of drinking and at a point called her a “f****** bitch”.

She said that as she went to leave, grabbing her gym bag, “Dane was behind me and he grabbed me by the hair and pulled me back.”

I had patches (of missing hair) ... and flaking skin

The court heard the move caused three of her hair extensions to be pulled out, with some of her natural hair also ripped by the tape holding the extension.

“I had patches (of missing hair) ... and flaking skin,” Ms Dankwa told the court.

The court heard as the fight escalated, Bouris followed her into the bedroom then pinned her down and “started choking me”.

“I was flat on my back, he was on top of me,“ Ms Dankwa said. “I couldn't breathe, it was to the point where I couldn't scream ... I gasped for air.”

She said she “kicked” at him to get him off her, but isn't sure where her foot connected with his body.

The court heard Ms Dankwa called the police but hung up during a conversation with a triple-0 operator as “I guess I didn't want him to get in trouble.”

She later gave a statement to Rose Bay police.
