A MAN has been charged after allegedly punching another man in a coward-punch style attack outside an eastern suburbs pub overnight.

A MAN has been charged after allegedly punching another man in a coward-punch style attack outside an eastern suburbs pub overnight.
The 38-year-old man was standing outside the Coogee Bay Hotel when he was allegedly punched in the face about 11.45pm last night.
He was knocked unconscious after falling backwards and hitting his head on the ground.
A short time later police stopped a taxi and arrested a 36-year-old man.
He was taken to Maroubra police station where he was questioned before being charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.
He will appear at Waverley Local Court on September 7.
The injured man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with a possible fractured cheekbone and lacerations to the head.
