Man charged after 31 unregistered firearms seized in NSW Riverina

A man will face court today charged over the discovery of 31 unregistered firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition during a raid on a property in the NSW Riverina region.

A man has been charged following the discovery of dozens of unregistered firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition at a property in the NSW Riverina.

Police raided the home on Reka Rd, Adelong yesterday afternoon following a tip-off and found 30 unregistered long arm firearms, an unregistered pistol and a can of OC spray.

31 unregistered weapons were seized from the Adelong home following a tip-off.

Ammunition and 12 registered firearms which belonged to the occupant were also seized.

The resident, a 57-year-old man was arrested and taken to Tumut Police Station where he was charged with several offences including possess over three unregistered firearms and holder of category A or B licence not have approved storage.

He is due to appear at Wagga Wagga Bail Court today.

The resident of the home is expected to face court today charged with firearms offences.
