A man has died after he was electrocuted while working at a job site on the Central Coast on Monday afternoon.
About 2.30pm police and paramedics raced to a row of shops on Coleridge Rd, Bateau Bay after reports a 68-year-old man had fallen from a ladder.
Bystanders tried to help the man, who had sustained significant head injuries, by rendering first aid.
It is understood the man came into contact with power lines while standing on a metal ladder, causing an electric shock and a fall off the roof.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene but couldn’t be saved.
Police were told by witnesses the man was up on the ladder when he came into contact with electrical wires and fell.
Officers taped off the area after the incident, with a forensics expert seen photographing the location.
Inspectors from SafeWork NSW were also seen examining the scene following the incident.
