Luna Park: Wheel fancy dining on The Deck is quite a ride for romantic couples
COUPLES can enjoy a five-star meal at Luna Park along with breathtaking views. Just ask the operator if you need a top-up...
FORGET couples sharing fairy floss or enjoying an ice cream during a romantic twirl on a ferris wheel.
At Luna Park, they can get a mouth-watering, three-course meal washed down with fine wine and breathtaking harbour views.
After a sell-out season last year, the Ferris Wheel Dining Experience returns to Luna Park this summer.
Hosted by The Deck Sydney, brasserie chef Michael Roper has prepared a five-star menu using local produce and wines to match.
Luna Park spokesman Brendan Biddell said the experience was on offer on Sunday nights until March.
The ferris wheel was “slowed down”, he said, to let guests soak up the views and “to stop things falling over’’ during dinner.
Guests signal their waiter by pressing a light, which enables the operator to let people on or off to use the toilet or order a drink.
But at $399 a carriage it is a bit dearer than the humble choc top.
