SPECTACULAR footage has emerged of a cyclist who survived a horror crash while riding on a busy Sydney road.
Paul Ludlow was riding from work to his home in Gladesville easy in October when a car pulled in front of him at the intersection of West and Falcon streets in Crows Nest.
The video, which was posted to YouTube earlier this month, shows Mr Ludlow cycling at speed before dramatically flying into the air.
The camera was attached to Mr Ludlow’s bike and captures the moment the cyclist smashes upside down into the car’s windscreen.
Mr Ludlow told Fairfax the footage helped him prove he was not to blame for the collision.
“The video footage actually showed that I had a green light and he had a green light as well, that I wasn’t speeding and you could also see the position of his car was in my lane and he was turning across in front of me and I ran into him but he was in the wrong,” he said.
“Without this video evidence and photos, it was highly likely that the actual thing was going against me rather than the driver.”
Mr Ludlow was taken to Royal North Shore hospital after the accident where it is reported he underwent surgery.
