Sydney traffic chaos after crane breaks down near Harbour Tunnel

Traffic was queued more than 10km to the Lane Cove tunnel on Wednesday after a crane broke down near the Harbour Tunnel.

A broken down crane caused traffic madness for peak hour motorists on Wednesday morning with more than 10km queues.

“One or two southbound lanes are closed due to a crane breakdown,” The Traffic Management Centre said in a statement at 7am.
