BASEBALL: Fresh after a whitewash of one of GBL division four’s top teams, the Rangers have a new challenge on their hands this weekend.
Toowoomba travels to Pine Rivers to take on a Rapids side boasting one of the competition’s most potent attacking weapons.
The Rapids have blasted 32 runs in their past two outings, however the Rangers will be looking to shut them down, with their league-best defence conceding just nine runs in four games.
The Rangers climbed from fifth to third after a 10-0 defeat of Redlands, with Pine Rivers a spot below them.
Division five action looks to see the Rangers continue their unbeaten run on the road to Southern Stars.
Toowoomba currently sits atop the ladder with a run differential of 52, however they will have to contend with a strong attacking presence of the Southern Stars, who average 12 runs per game.
The Rangers C-grade side will face one of its toughest tests of the season in order to continue its perfect start, travelling to take on the Redlands Stingrays.
Redlands currently sits in third, while the Rangers have the chance to make it seven wins from as many games.
