TFL clubs ready for finals footy
FOOTBALL: Finals football kicks off this weekend in the Toowoomba Football Leagues. Despite the complexities of a COVID interrupted year, it has been one of the best seasons across all divisions in recent memory.

In the Premier Men’s division just five points separated the top five teams and two major trophies – the minor premiership and President’s Cup – were decided in the last round of the regular season.
It was a similar story in the Premier Women’s division with five points separating minor premier’s Willowburn, second placed Highfields and third placed Rockville.
Here’s how the finals are shaping up.
Premier Women: Willowburn (1) vs Highfields (2). The winner advances straight to the final – the loser plays the winner of Rockville (3) and Hawks (4). Both matches will be played on Saturday, October 31 at Highfields Oldham Oval (Rockville 5pm, Willowburn 7pm)
Premier Men: Willowburn (1) vs Stanthorpe (2). The loser plays the winner of Rockville (3) and Gatton (4). Both matches will be played at Gatton on Sunday, November 1 (Rockville 2pm, Willowburn 4pm).
Championship Women: Chinchilla (1) vs Warwick (2). The loser plays the winner of Gatton (3) and West Wanderers (4). Both matches will be played at Gatton on Sunday, November 1 (Gatton 11am, Chinchilla 1pm)
Championship Men: Warwick (1) vs Gatton (2). The loser plays the winner of USQ (3) vs Rockville (4). Both matches will be played at Gatton on Sunday, November 1 (USQ 10am, Warwick 12pm).
