TEN PIN : Brad Lipp gave away ten pin some time ago.
His love for the sport has never diminished though which is why he is happy to throw his support behind Sunset Superbowl and its ten pin programs whenever possible.
“I made a lot of friends through ten pin,” he said.
“Friends that are still close today and my wife was among the best bowlers in the state.
“It’s a great sport to be involved in, one the whole family can play, and that’s why I’m happy to do my part, however I can, to see it grow.”
Over the past few years, the Collier International realtor has made a number of substantial sponsorship donations toward the growth of ten pin in Toowoomba – contributions that are not lost on new Sunset Superbowl manager Morty Douglass.
“It’s wonderful to see people like Brad getting behind the sport and helping it grow,” Douglass said.
“We certainly value all the support he gives us through sponsorship.
“It has helped us to grow the sport, particularly at the junior level.
“We’ve also been able to purchase better equipment which we then offer as prizes to players involved in our various tournaments.
“We want to get as many people as possible involved in ten pin and having those prizes can sometimes help to encourage more people to have a go.
“It’s a sport the whole family can play, from the kids right through to grandparents.
“A sport that is easy to pick up but hard to master.
“But I think that’s the beauty of it because everyone can enjoy it at some level.”
