RACING: Hometown advantage was on full show at Clifford Park on Saturday, with Tony and Maddysen Sears training three winners on the extended 10-race program.

It started with Battle Plane ($5), who continued his strong form since joining the Sears yard, romping home in the Vale Dan O’Neill BM55 Handicap (1870m).

After running second in his first start in his new surrounds, the four-year-old backed it up with a clinical frontrunning display to score by five and a half lengths.

Takeittothelimit ($1.70 fav) made it a race-to-race double in the Neil Mansell Concrete BM55 Handicap (1870m) with an effortless three and a quarter length victory.

Andrew Mallyon, who finished the program with a treble, peeled off the back of the leaders at the 400m point, with the mare putting away the rest of the field upon turning to coast to the line.

The hat-trick came towards the back-end of the card, with the strongly supported Blackjack Rose ($2.50 fav) getting off the mark in the Caltex Toowoomba Maiden Plate (1210m).

Michael Cahill was able to pilot the filly across from a wide alley and was never headed in the run to the line, getting home by one and a quarter lengths.

Earlier in the day, talented three-year-old Motomiss ($1.40 fav) overcome adversity to record back-to-back wins.

After leading with ease and scoring by over six lengths last start, the Lindsay Hatch-trained filly was forced to settle back in the field after missing the jump and settling near the tail of the field.

Mallyon didn’t panic, gradually inching closer along the fence before peeling off the rail inside 400 metres, launching a burst down the centre of the track to win by a neck.

It gives the up-and-comer two wins from four starts in her rising career.

Consistent mare Okanagan Miss ($6) was another local to claim back-to-back wins for trainer Matt Kropp, with a smart Alex Patis ride guiding the five-year-old in the Shannon Sign Company BM60 (1210m).

Patis timed her run to perfection in the home straight, peeling off the heels of leaders Zou Der Zee ($18) and Cossie ($6) with 200m to go, running on by to win by a length and a half.
