The Chronicle’s Sean Teuma takes an in-depth look at Saturday evening’s meeting at Clifford Park.

BEST BET

Race 2, No 7: MISSLLEERS

Extremely well placed in this event after a dashing win last start. Only needs even luck to be winning this.

NEXT BEST

Race 3, No 6: CHAMPAGNE AUNTY

Sticking with the Gold Coast formlines. She was good behind Misslleers and looks to have a bit of ability.

FORM ANALYSIS

RACE 1

This looks to be a nice return race for JE SUIS BELLE. The Mark Currie-trained mare should have four wins from five starts, and was a very impressive winner when last seen at the Sunshine Coast in May.

BET: Je Suis Belle to win

4, 2, 7, 6

RACE 2

MISSLLEERS was superb in winning a hot race at the Gold Coast a fortnight ago, and there’s no reason why she can’t go back-to-back. She drops in weight after the claim from Kyle Wilson-Taylor, and this is a weaker race than what she contested.

BET: Misslleers to win

7, 5, 9, 8

RACE 3

CHAMPAGNE AUNTY was third behind Misslleers when having a tough run. If she’s anywhere close to her best she will be winning this. SISTER KATHLEEN is one for the multiples.

BET: Champagne Aunty to win

6, 8, 3, 2

RACE 4

LUVYOUANYTIME looked to have his chance when third here on November 21, but this race is no harder. Does have to carry a big weight, and gives the likes of STAR CENTRE 6.5kg. Happy to stay out of this one.

BET: No bet

1, 3, 6, 8

RACE 5

SARASUN was good in beating home Perfect Page and Luvyouanytime when last seen. I’ve never been able to catch him and won’t try here. BEL BEAU and PERFECT PAGE are also chances.

BET: No bet

1, 2, 7, 10

RACE 6

The runner that creates a lot of interest is the Chris Waller-trained GREATEST JOY, who has her first Queensland start. She was fair in a Hawkesbury maiden, but is impeccably bred. Siding with the locals and ABSOLUTE GLORY however, who was a good second at Rockhampton on November 17. Gets a light weight and is drawn to get a gun run in transit.

BET: No bet

5, 12, 6, 2

RACE 7

There are a lot of question marks in this race, and I’m not prepared to give an answer.

BET: No bet

10, 3, 7, 9

RACE 8

ORSON joins the Tony and Maddysen Sears yard after a previous stint in Victoria. Raced okay there, and a southerner joining a strong stable is always a big watch. EPIC REIGN is nicely bred and it wouldn’t shock if she featured on debut.

BET: Orson to win

2, 11, 5, 8
