Local softball reps to line up for state
TOOWOOMBA’S softball talent has been rewarded with Queensland selection.

SOFTBALL: Toowoomba will be well represented at the statewide level, with the announcement of two players in the Queensland Patriots side.
Zac Erlandson and Lincoln Walk have been rewarded for their efforts with selection in the prestigious team.
They will compete for the John Reid Shield at the Australian Open Men’s Softball Championships in Hawker, ACT in January.
It continues the good news for Walk, who was also named in the Queensland U18s side alongside Nicholas Murphy.
Walk and Erlandson were selected in the U23s squad, with fellow Toowoomba players Bradley Davis, Nicholas Davis and Nicholas Murphy, with the final team to be announced next year.
In local softball action this weekend, a double header of fixtures will take place at Kearneys Spring.
It begins tomorrow in the A1 men’s with the Warriors facing off with the Devils/Aces before a top of the table clash between the All Stars and Dodgers.
The top-line women’s competition will put Warriors (G) against Dodgers/All Stars, before backing up against Warriors (W).
All sides will be involved in further fixtures on Sunday.
