CRICKET: Warwick’s Delissa Kimmince and the Brisbane Heat have endured a mixed start to their WBBL season, splitting both games in Sydney at the weekend.

They started their season on Saturday night with a grand final rematch against the Sixers at North Sydney Oval.

After posting a competitive total of 6/165, the Heat were never troubled as the second innings rolled along.

They dismissed the Sixers for 73 to claim a convincing 93-run victory.

From her two overs, Kimmince finished with figures of 1/5, claiming the key scalp of Erin Burns.

They weren’t as successful on the quick back-up, again at North Sydney Oval, as the Thunder were able to take a seven-wicket victory.

Brisbane was able to find some runs late in the innings, including a well-timed 10 from Kimmince, to close at 9/150.

The Thunder were always in control throughout their chase, and Kimmince’s dismissal of Rachael Haynes wasn’t enough to slow them down, with Sydney winning with seven balls leftover.

Kimmince finished with figures of 1/30 from three overs.

The Heat have a home double-header this weekend at Allan Border Field, taking on Perth on Saturday and Adelaide on Sunday.
